Kevin is a Pomeranian in his prime. The coat will not naturally look like this; this is due to careful grooming and trimming to round things off. As you can see, there is some trimming around the lower legs and fur on the ruff has been layered to give it a nice rounded shape.
This sort of hair cut will not damage the coat and is perfectly fine to do. In fact, a trimming such as this will help keep tangles away.

Bonnie
-
Bonnie is not a show dog but she still wants to look well groomed. She is sporting the Basic Cocker Cut which trims most of the body hair, leaving the skirt length up to the owner. This cut eliminates much of the work required to keep a longer coat tangle-free, although daily brushing is still required. The hair on the ears can be left long or trimmed up to the ear leather according to your preference. The dog’s head is trimmed to keep the muzzle and face neat. The legs and feet are left fluffy to appear thick with the traditional cocker look.

Cleo
-
Cleo is a male poodle, he is calm and gentle. He is demonstrating the Lamb Clip style for poodle grooming. This grooming style is very similar to the kennel, or utility, clip — face, tail, and feet are all shaved. In this clip, the topknot and tail are basically the same length as the dog’s hair elsewhere on the body, which can be the length you choose. This is one of the grooming styles allowed at shows.
Cleo is ready for the show with his new hair style provided by Dapper Doxie Luxury Grooming.

Princess
-
Princess is a female shih tzu, she is very pampered and as sweet at pie. Her hair style is called The Top Knot Show Cut. This cut is similar to the practical top knot, except this is a very high maintenance cut usually reserved for show dogs. With this cut, all of the dog’s hair is left long and flowing. And to avoid tangles and keep the shine, the coat must be brushed several times a day. This is not a practical cut, and can leave your dog overheated in day to day activity.
Princess is going to look posh around town with her new hairdo.
